PSALM 69

PSALM 69

In finem. Psalmus David in rememorationem, quod salvum fecerit eum Dominus.
[1] Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him.

Deus, in adjutórium meum inténde: ã Dómine, ad adjuvándum me festína.
[2] O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.

[3] Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:

[4] Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me.

Avertántur statim erubescéntes, ã qui dicunt mihi: Euge, euge.
Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis well.

5] Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.

Ego vero egénus, et pauper sum: ã Deus, ádjuva me.
But I am needy and poor; O God, help me.
Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.

PSALM 84

PSALM 84

Benedixisti, Domine. The coming of Christ, to bring peace and salvation to man.
[1] Unto the end, for the sons of Core, a psalm.
In finem, filiis Core. Psalmus.
[2] Lord, thou hast blessed thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob.
Benedixisti, Domine, terram tuam; avertisti captivitatem Jacob.
[3] Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered all their sins.
Remisisti iniquitatem plebis tuae, operuisti omnia peccata eorum.
[4] Thou hast mitigated all thy anger: thou hast turned away from the wrath of thy indignation.
Mitigasti omnem iram tuam, avertisti ab ira indignationis tuae.
[5] Convert us, O God our saviour: and turn off thy anger from us.
Converte nos, Deus salutaris noster, et averte iram tuam a nobis.
[6] Wilt thou be angry with us for ever: or wilt thou extend thy wrath from generation to generation?
Numquid in aeternum irasceris nobis? aut extendes iram tuam a generatione in generationem?
[7] Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.
Deus, tu conversus vivificabis nos, et plebs tua laetabitur in te.
[8] shew us, O Lord, thy mercy; and grant us thy salvation.
Ostende nobis, Domine, misericordiam tuam, et salutare tuum da nobis.
[9] I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: for he will speak peace unto his people: And unto his saints: and unto them that are converted to the heart.
[10] Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.
Verumtamen prope timentes eum salutare ipsius, ut inhabitet gloria in terra nostra.
[11] Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.
[12] Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice hath looked down from heaven.
[13] For the Lord will give goodness: and our earth shall yield her fruit.
Etenim Dominus dabit benignitatem, et terra nostra dabit fructum suum.
[14] Justice shall walk before him: and shall set his steps in the way.
Justitia ante eum ambulabit, et ponet in via gressus suos.

Gospel According to Saint Matthew Chapter 1 18-25

Gospel According to Saint Matthew Chapter 1 18-25

[18] Now the generation of Christ was in this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child, of the Holy Ghost. [19] Whereupon Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing publicly to expose her, was minded to put her away privately. [20] But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared to him in his sleep, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Ghost.
[16] The husband of Mary: The Evangelist gives us rather the pedigree of St. Joseph, than that of the blessed Virgin, to conform to the custom of the Hebrews, who in their genealogies took no notice of women; but as they were near akin, the pedigree of the one sheweth that of the other.
[21] And she shall bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name JESUS. For he shall save his people from their sins. [22] Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying: [23] Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. [24] And Joseph rising up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and took unto him his wife. [25] And he knew her not till she brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
[25] Till she brought forth her firstborn son: From these words Helvidius and other heretics most impiously inferred that the blessed Virgin Mary had other children besides Christ; but St. Jerome shews, by divers examples, that this expression of the Evangelist was a manner of speaking usual among the Hebrews, to denote by the word until, only what is done, without any regard to the future. Thus it is said, Genesis 8. 6 and 7, that Noe sent forth a raven, which went forth, and did not return till the waters were dried up on the earth. That is, did not return any more. Also Isaias 46. 4, God says: I am till you grow old. Who dare infer that God should then cease to be: Also in the first book of Machabees 5. 54, And they went up to mount Sion with joy and gladness, and offered holocausts, because not one of them was slain till they had returned in peace. That is, not one was slain before or after they had returned. God saith to his divine Son: Sit on my right hand till I make thy enemies thy footstool. Shall he sit no longer after his enemies are subdued? Yea and for all eternity. St. Jerome also proves by Scripture examples, that an only begotten son, was also called firstborn, or first begotten: because according to the law, the firstborn males were to be consecrated to God; Sanctify unto me, saith the Lord, every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, etc. Ex. 13. 2.

Isaias (Isaiah) Chapter 7 English

Isaias (Isaiah) Chapter 7 English

The prophet assures king Achaz that the two kings his enemies shall not take Jerusalem. A virgin shall conceive and bear a son.
[1] And it came to pass in the days of Achaz the son of Joathan, the son of Ozias, king of Juda, that Basin king of Syria, and Phacee the son of Romelia king of Israel, came up to Jerusalem, to fight against it: but they could not prevail over it. [2] And they told the house of David, saying: Syria hath rested upon Ephraim, and his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind. [3] And the Lord said to Isaias: Go forth to meet Achaz, thou and Jasub thy son that is left, to the conduit of the upper pool, a in the way of the fuller' s held. [4] And thou shalt say to him: See thou be quiet: fear not, and let not thy heart be afraid of the two tails of these fire brands, smoking with the wrath of the fury of Rasin king of Syria, and of the son of Romelia. [5]Because Syria hath taken counsel against thee, unto the evil of Ephraim and the son of Romelia, saying:
[6] Let us go up to Juda, and rouse it up, and draw it away to us, and make the son of Tabeel king in the midst thereof. [7] Thus saith the Lord God: It shall not stand, and this shall not be. [8] But the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Basin: and within threescore and five years, Ephraim shall cease to be a people: [9] And the head of Ephraim is Samaria and the head of Samaria the son of Romelia. If you will not believe, you shall not continue. [10] And the Lord spoke again to Achaz, saying:
[11] Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God either unto the depth of hell, or unto the height above. [12]And Achaz said: I will not ask, and I will not tempt the Lord. [13] And he said: Hear ye therefore, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to be grievous to men, that you are grievous to my God also? [14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel. [15] He shall eat butter and honey, that he may know to refuse the evil, and to choose the good.
[16] For before the child know to refuse the evil, and to choose the good, the land which thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of the face of her two kings. [17] The Lord shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon the house of thy father, days that have not come since the time of the separation of Ephraim from Juda with the king of the Assyrians. [18] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall hiss for the fly, that is in the uttermost parts of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. [19] And they shall come, and shall all of them rest in the torrents of the valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all places set with shrubs, and in all hollow places. [20] In that day the Lord shall shave with a razor that is hired by them that are beyond the river, by the king of the Assyrians, the head and the hairs of the feet, and the whole beard.
[21] And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep. [22]And for the abundance of milk he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that shall be left in the midst of the land. [23] And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place where there were a thousand vines, at a thousand pieces of silver, shall become thorns and briers. [24]With arrows and with bows they shall go in thither: for briars and thorns shall be in all the land. [25]And as for all the hills that shall be raked with a rake, the fear of thorns and briers shall not come thither, but they shall be for the ox to feed on, and the lesser cattle to tread upon.

Isaias Chapter 7 Latin

Prophecy Of Isaias (Isaiah)
 Chapter 7

The prophet assures king Achaz that the two kings his enemies shall not take Jerusalem. A virgin shall conceive and bear a son.
[11] Pete tibi signum a Domino Deo tuo, in profundum inferni, sive in excelsum supra.

GENESIS III 15

13 Then Yahweh God said to the woman, 'Why did you do that?' The woman replied, 'The snake tempted me and I ate.'
14 Then Yahweh God said to the snake, 'Because you have done this, Accursed be you of all animals wild and tame! On your belly you will go and on dust you will feed as long as you live.
15 I shall put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; it will bruise your head and you will strike its heel.'
16 To the woman he said: I shall give you intense pain in childbearing, you will give birth to your children in pain. Your yearning will be for your husband, and he will dominate you.
17 To the man he said, 'Because you listened to the voice of your wife and ate from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat, Accursed be the soil because of you! Painfully will you get your food from it as long as you live.
18 It will yield you brambles and thistles, as you eat the produce of the land.
19 By the sweat of your face will you earn your food, until you return to the ground, as you were taken from it. For dust you are and to dust you shall return.'
20 The man named his wife 'Eve' because she was the mother of all those who live.
21 Yahweh God made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and clothed them.
22 Then Yahweh God said, 'Now that the man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick from the tree of life too, and eat and live for ever!'

GARABANDAL

Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharistic. You should turn the Wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts He will pardon you. I, your mother, through the intercession of St Michael the Archangel ask you to amend your lives.

You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we shall grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.
