PSALM 69
In finem. Psalmus David in rememorationem, quod
salvum fecerit eum Dominus.
[1] Unto
the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him.
Deus, in adjutórium meum inténde:
ã Dómine, ad adjuvándum me festína.
[2] O
God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.
Confundántur, et revereántur,ã qui quaerunt ánimam meam:
[3] Let
them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:
Avertántur retrórsum, et erubéscant, ã qui volunt mihi
mala.
[4] Let
them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me.
Avertántur statim erubescéntes,
ã qui dicunt mihi: Euge, euge.
Let
them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis
well.
Exsúltent et laeténtur in te
omnes qui quaerunt te, ã et dicant semper: Magnificétur Dóminus: qui díligunt salutáre tuum.
5] Let all that seek thee rejoice and be
glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be
magnified.
Ego vero egénus, et pauper sum:
ã Deus, ádjuva me.
But I am needy and poor; O God, help me.
Adjútor meus, et liberátor meus es tu; ã Domine, ne
moreris.
Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O
Lord, make no delay.
